Gardening Thursday

Hello there fellow gardeners!!

No!! I have NOT shrunk! Remember a few weeks ago you saw me in this very same place with my (then much smaller) pumpkin plants. Haven't they grown? And finally, we are getting both rain and sunshine which is the perfect growing combination. I should really be showing you my sunflowers...they are over 2 meters (over 6 feet) tall!! Woo hoo...sorry, next time I'll TRY to show you, but in order to do so I will have to figure out some way of me figuring into the picture, which, at the moment, I don't know how I could.

Oh well, I guess I could show you another part of our garden...the part that we call THE JUNGLE!! Not surprisingly, this is the part of the garden where I like to go!! But it is not because the tiger (a.k.a. ME) is there, but because the place is so overgrown that it just looks like a jungle...SOMEONE (a.k.a. MOM) really needs to get in and do some weeding there, but if you take a look, there are still some nice things there including hostas and dianthus and lavender and poppies....and a bazillion weeds.

Would you check out this guy? Geez...what a lazy sack o' bones he is...what does he think? That if he lays in the sun HE is going to grow? Ha ha! Fat chance fella!! But if you want, I'll happily put some 'fertiliser' on ya.. (loud evil laugh silences the singing of the birds) to see if THAT might help you 'bloom'...heyheyhey!!!

For all you serious gardeners or even just wannabe gardeners, go over and pad around Jonesie's garden for some serious garden news. Jonesie is a A1 gardener!

Putting "fertilizer" on Ellwood prolly won't help matters! I would just go check out the jungle, it looks like fun! Purrs.

The lazy guy in the last shot could come here and lay on our beaches, he could like it very much!

Oh no! Poor Ellwood. Seems that Ginger, Figaro and our neighborcat Remington misled him last week...when they tried to tell everyone that exposing your belly to the garden would make it grow.

Sigh.
