Thursday Thoughts and Thanks

On this Thursday day, we would like to think about all our friends - both the ones we met and the ones we didn't - that are no longer with us. We would especially like to think about our sweet friend Astrud, who passed over the Rainbow Bridge 2 weeks ago and about her Mom who is so sad that her beloved tuxedo girl left her so suddenly. We would also like to think about a kitty that we never got to know, but that was found by Mom and a friend last Sunday, but because he was so sick (the vet was not sure if he had ingested poison or if he was sick from an illness, but his kidneys had already shut down and his temperature was way down when Mom found him AND he was very, very, very thin)...we hope that he is now happy and free of pain on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

We are thankful for all our blogging friends for the nice messages they leave us each day; for being wonderful friends and for all the love they give to the beings in their lives. We think that every cat and every dog (and every animal) deserves to be loved...or at the very least to live free and without duress. We are very thankful that we have a warm bed, good food and lots of love. We love you all!!

That's a beautiful post and we're so sorry about the loss of both Astrud and the unknown kitty. The loss of the unknown cat is sadder in some ways, because he might never have known a good home or love, poor sweetie. We hope he's with Astrud at the Bridge now, happy and healthy and whole.

Blessings and Light to all.

So very sad, it made me cry. Luckily Astrud had a good home and was loved, but the poor kitty that you found seems to have been less fortunate.

We are very thankful too for good friends, health, a cozy home and love :-)

They give us love, tenderness, and then they go. And we never forget them, they have a special place in our hearts. i'm so sad for this poor kitty.It makes us realise how lucky we are all, cats and humans, when we can give love and care to each others.

I'm very sorry Astrud had to go to the Bridge. She sure was pretty. I am thankful that at least the unknown kitty had a gentle passing instead of being left to go to the Bridge on his own. {{{hugs}}}

Well said, well said.

We are sorry for your friends loss and we are sorry for that poor sick, thin cat. At least your Mom showed him a bit of love before he left this world.
