Lazy Sunday

It's cold out. But on top of the blue tile stove it's warm. So guess who is GLUED to it...yep, lazy Lolo! Since he has refused to come down from there I get to post today's blog. Me. Tiny. The Mighty. The one who isn't a whimp. Honestly, the guy is SHAMELESS! If he isn't on the tile stove, he's all wrapped in a blanket! Have you seen a bigger baby?

As for our weather here, we didn't get any more of the white stuff during the night (yay!!) and today the sky is such a pretty blue...I could swear that it is Spring (yay! yay!!)...but it is COLD (Mom said it was -10C /14F when we got up a couple hours ago). Yeah, that's chilly...I think I need to go make sure the blue tile stove is staying warm. You know, quality control. Have a nice Sunday and see you again on Tiny's Tuesday!

Of Grass and Birds and Blue Heat

Yesterday, Mom loaded us into the car - for the first time in 2 months - and brought us to our house with the garden (we've been in our city home since early January) and we were all excited because we were feeling the Spring bug and have sooo been looking forward to eating some fresh grass in the garden...and we did...YESTERDAY. But, during the night, while we were sleeping, some horrible giant came along and put a HUGE white blanket all over everything and when we woke up this morning, the first thing Mom said was that she HAD to go outside right away and feed the birds...NOT US...THE BIRDS!! There we were, starving after not eating all night and she has the nerve to feed the birds FIRST!

Just look at them...they are sooooo spoiled...couldn't they have waited for us to get fed first? I mean SO WHAT if it is below freezing out there...WE ARE HUNGRY!!

Once we FINALLY got our breakfast we were happy, because we like being in the country house. Only here can we sleep on top of the big blue warm table/couch thing...we LOVE it!! I know it doesn't look soft and cushy, but it is so warm...kinda the same as laying on a cold tile floor in the hot summer but this is a hot tile surface in the winter...we just stretch out and take in all the heat!! (Note from Mom: that big blue thing Lautrec is talking about is what the French call a 'fourneau en faience' or in Czech a 'kachlova kamna'...a wood burning stove, if you want, surrounded by a large construction of porcelain tiles that hold the heat from the fire, keeping the house warm with a lovely, soft heat...which makes it very attractive to the cats!!)
