Thankful Mom is Home Thursday!!

She's back!!
She's back!!!
We are soo thankful Mom is back!!

While Mom was away, I spent a lot of time either sleeping in the sweater of hers that she left on our couch, or sleeping among all her clothes in her closet...it was nice, but it wasn't Mom!!! But now she is back!!

And just look what she brought us!! Uhhh..what did she bring us?? Are those rocks? And seashells? We don't want those? Oh, they aren't for us (they are for Mom cuz she collects such silly stuff)...oh who cares, WE HAVE MOM!!

And tonight we are here in our house enjoying a warm fire (even though it was sorta warm today)... nothing beats cuddling up by the fire. These are our happy faces!!!

Note: I must say that we didn't even miss The Wood at all. Apparently he was staying with some nice friends and was spoiled to death while we had to stay ALONE and only had short visits each day...boy did we miss having our daily cuddle sessions!! You can bet that we are now demanding that the missing sessions be given to us which means we have double the cuddle sessions we normally do!!! Wooo hooo!!!

Thankful Thursday and Gardening

We are soo very thankful for the lovely, sunny days we have been having. We would like to say that we have been doing gardening work since it is Thursday (see: SOFG / Cory Cat Blog) and all, but despite our best INTENTIONS when setting paw outside, once we were caressed by the sun, we fell into a sort of blissful calm and could only daydream. But Mom worked hard raking the dry, dead grass (and moss - we ditto what Jonesie says about moss in his post of today) by the piles from our upper garden. We snoopervised a little, but mostly what we did was to look beautiful and offer Mom something wonderful to look at while she worked!! For those of you in need of the sun, we send you lots of warm rays of sunshine...we hope you can feel them right now, warming your ears, bodies and faces!!

Thankful Thursday

Shadows on the snow.

Reflections in the forest stream/swamp.

Puffs of snow sitting on a seed crown, under a blue sky full of puffy clouds

We have lots to be thankful for, but today we want to say that we are thankful for the nature that surrounds our home. Every season has its charm and through Mom's eyes, we (since we don't leave the house much) are able to enjoy the Winter in our 'neighbourhood'.

We are ALWAYS thankful for our sweaterbeds (yes, that is Lautrec's head you see sticking out from under Mom's sweater on the lower right side of the picture!)

And OF COURSE...bird tv!!!

And last but far, far from least....we are thankful for all our friends.
We love you all!!

Thankful Thursday

I have so much to be thankful for...good food, a warm bed, great toys and family that loves me. Speaking of family, I want to introduce you to some of my extended family...you know, cousins, nieces and nephews.

First we'll start off with Jara...she is my 'cousin'...I like Jara, but she doesn't like me...I don't know why. I keep hearing the word 'jealous' when people talk to her (they say 'Jara, don't be jealous, he's just a baby!'). Every time I see Jara I try really hard to get her to like me, but she only growls at me. What's a boy to do??

And look at this!!! Yep!! Real live birds!! Are these also my cousins?? All 9 of them? They live with Jara and boy are they talkative! Jara also has a sister-cat named Julia, but I don't have a picture of her. Would you believe that Jara, Julia and all 9 birds live in peace in the same house??

And, well, best of all, here is my niece Anezka (well, she is Mom's niece by marriage so I figure she is also my niece, right?). Anezka LOVES me!! Anezka is CRAZY ABOUT ME!! She loves me and hugs me and plays with me and gives me great things to eat. I think I also love Anezka!!

But there is also my nephew Ferda who loves me. He and I have a great time chasing each other around his house and what is really great is that he is a not tall like all the other beans so it is easier for me to reach up and lick his face!! haha!! I love to surprise lick bean faces!! Ferda has a brother - his name is Albert and Albert loves me, too, but this day that I was visiting them Albert had some of his friends over so he didn't have much time to play with me, but I know he loves me.

I am so lucky and so thankful for my extended family that loves me so and that I also love....Anezka, Albert and Ferda; Jara, Julia and all 9 birds!!! I'm so lucky!!!

Thursday Thoughts and Thanks

On this Thursday day, we would like to think about all our friends - both the ones we met and the ones we didn't - that are no longer with us. We would especially like to think about our sweet friend Astrud, who passed over the Rainbow Bridge 2 weeks ago and about her Mom who is so sad that her beloved tuxedo girl left her so suddenly. We would also like to think about a kitty that we never got to know, but that was found by Mom and a friend last Sunday, but because he was so sick (the vet was not sure if he had ingested poison or if he was sick from an illness, but his kidneys had already shut down and his temperature was way down when Mom found him AND he was very, very, very thin)...we hope that he is now happy and free of pain on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

We are thankful for all our blogging friends for the nice messages they leave us each day; for being wonderful friends and for all the love they give to the beings in their lives. We think that every cat and every dog (and every animal) deserves to be loved...or at the very least to live free and without duress. We are very thankful that we have a warm bed, good food and lots of love. We love you all!!
