Yep, we have tons of snow (and now ice, too) AND lots and lots of birds. So much for doing any gardening! Oh, well, these are pictures of our garden so we're going to post them anyway for Jonesie's Gardening Thursday (SOFG). Did you recognise the curly end of Rusty's tail in the foreground of the first picture?
(FYI, that is a Nuthatch (EN)/Gros bec (F)/Dlast (CZ) in the feeder in the second picture as well as a black bird/merle/kos. In the First picture there are several kinds of tits/mesanges/sykorky, goldfinches/tarin des aulnes/cizek and, of course, the ever territorial black birds again.)

Hi! #1 has also been working overtime to stock our feeders. We have pretty much the same kinds of birds (BTW, "Tarin des Aulnes"...). We also get European goldfinches, yellowhammers, robins, dunnocks, green finches and, this year, we have been getting crested tits, And #1 was thrilled when a little red squirrel was seen gambolling in the garden today!
Purrs,
The Chans
But the seeds make the birdies grow - into great big SNACKS. This is a good investment. All you need to do is get out there :)
All those seeds mean GREAT kitty TV! Our mom used to have a feeder, but she took it down when the Nicki-proof addition went up on the fence last June. We think she should get another feeder for us now! :-)
(The mom says maybe she'll do just that over the weekend.)
Live Kitty TV!!
Sure looks very cold there!
Wow! You must have tons of fun watching those birdies!!!!!
About the only thing those seeds are growing is a pretty good episode of Bird TV... and that's not a bad thing!
Dear Cat! I'm glad to see that you're feeding birds! Every winter, I'm so sad for them!
WOW ~ we love birds. They are so tasty. MOL!
