Tiny's Tuesday

You ever just want to rise above it all...get as far away as possible from those 'little beings*' who just seem to get on your nerves?

Well, sadly, we don't have any cool (or even uncool)) high places to go to, but I must say that the back of the couch at least makes me 'feel' as if I'm up high and far away from certain spastic, tireless creatures.

*I'm thinking of a particular being who's name starts with 'E', but I won't say any more than that.

Lolo Lundi /Lolo Monday

The Rug Roll (a.k.a. The Body Scratcher)
When you don't have a soft pile of dry dirt or clean sand to roll in, the rug roll is the next best thing. There is NO WAY I am going out in this cold to look for dirt or sand so I'll be doin' the rug roll until Spring!! Hurray for scritchy-scratchy carpets!

Lazy Day

I thought about getting out of bed...I even actually sat up, but dang these flannel sheets are like warm clouds and since it is just nasty cold out...well, I couldn't bring myself to go any farther than this. Hey, what do you want...it's Sunday...THE day to be lazy!! I'm going to crawl back under the covers now...see ya!

Friday's Men in the Zone

Yeah, you read that right, 'men in the zone'!! What? Don't tell me you don't know what 'zone' I'm talking about!! Geez, there is ONLY ONE ZONE for us guys....THE COMFORT ZONE!!! And boy I tell you I am parked there 24/7!!

There I was doing some 'mega-zoning' on the sweater bed and IN an additional sweater (not only a sweater in my favourite colour - lilac as in 'lilac tabby point' which is what I am, but one with angora!!) because Mom loves me and does her best to keep me 'in the zone'. So comfy in my spot I was when you-know-who has to come along and squeeze her way in/on. Yeah and then she has the nerve to make yesterday's post as if SHE was the victim...hey!! I was the victim!! I was there first...zoning in the zone then suddenly my zone is invaded!! Since I couldn't make her go away, I tried to hide in the sweater and pretend she wasn't there...can you see me? (BTW, look how she is almost not on the sweater bed...she is SOOO not in the zone!)

The Wood, on the other hand, has no problem with zone invasion...he just takes whatever zone he wants and fills the whole thing right up!! He seems to have learned the art of zoning very quickly!!

The Wood's Wednesday

Hi there! Wood here. It's turned rainy/snowy and cold outside. Absolutely nasty. I don't even want to go out to do my business and, as you can imagine, that does not make Mom too happy (she still, of course, puts paper out for me, but I kinda like to do it where there is no paper...hey!! I'm a free-style, natural guy!!). But that's a whole other story...sort of, just that since it is cold, I have been given permission to spend more time in other rooms than JUST the kitchen. As you can guess from the picture, I was being good so I got to sleep on the couch. But I was still bored. Then, out of the blue, I thought, "Hey! Why not change my ear-style!"

What do you think of the both ears back look?

Or maybe just one ear?

No? Yeah, you're right...neither really works for me either.
I think I'll take a(nother) nap.

Tiny's Tuesday

A very few of you (though I don't know what planet you are from) might say that Lautrec and I (and now The Wood) are spoiled, but I'm sure that the majority of you will say that we are getting exactly what we deserve and could/should even insist on having more.
What am I talking about? Well, sweater beds, that's what. Sweater beds started out simple around here...a wool sweater was placed on a chair and we cats claimed it to be ours. But Mom has taken that idea to a new high and has 'recycled' her old sweaters for us by buying pillows JUST FOR US and wrapping them in her old WOOL or SILK sweaters.
Here, I am modelling our latest sweater bed which consists of a cloud-like pillow wrapped with a gray WOOL/CASHMERE mix cardigan (buttons on the underside) AND an additional black SILK pull-over sweater that has only been put partially over the pillow so that we may cuddle into the sleeves, collar and the rest of the sweater's overhang!! Mom put the pillow on the floor next to the radiator and since she felt sorry that we seemed to be sliding towards the cold wall, she took an old blanket and rolled it up and put so that our delicate bodies don't have to come in contact with the nasty cold wall. I think we wonderful cats SOOOO deserve such ROYAL TREATMENT.

Pee Ess...Do NOT beg to differ with me...begging is SOOOO for dawgs...WE are not dawgs dear felines...we are cats!! (In all fairness for my new brother, The Wood, dawgs get other special treatment that we don't...like getting a ton of treats for doing ordinary things like sitting down and laying down and rolling over..geez, I do that all the time and Mom NEVER gives me any treats for it!!)

Lolo Lundi /Lolo Monday

I heard Mom getting the claw trimmers out and since I didn't know where I could hide that she wouldn't find me, I decided to try to hide my claws...maybe she'll see my paws like this and will think that she doesn't need to trim my claws today.

Wishful Sunday

Maybe if I just hide my face Lautrec won't notice that I'm here.
(Why does he always have to come and bother me just when I get comfortable?)

Would you believe??

6 October 2010

19 November 2010

...how big The Wood is getting?

I have a hard time believing that he has been living with us for almost - ALMOST - 2 months already...is it possible?

In that first picture, I look big next to tiny Ellwood. Just after the second picture was taken, I sCATted off the couch in haste...that guy just makes me nervous...I don't care if Mom says that he won't do anything...I don't trust him. Nope, not at all.

Chillaxin' Friday

Hi there and Happy Friday!! I realised something the other day while I was chillaxin' in my travel bag....I am the only one of the furry bodies in our house that gets to go on visits with Mom!! Yep! Tiny and Lautrec always have to stay home, but I get to go with Mom to all the stores and even to restaurants and cafes!! Sometimes in the restaurants and cafes Mom just lets me sleep on her lap, other times she'll put me on my bag and give me a bone or toy to chew on and other times, I just fall asleep in my bag and she hangs it on the corner of the chair...like in the above pictures!!! I love riding around in my bag because people are always squealing about how 'KUH-yyyooooooTuh' I am and, well, who doesn't love to hear that? People love to pet me and they talk all sweet and nice to me so I get all happy and just want to give everyone kisses!! I am one lucky dog!!! Have a great weekend everyone!!

Thursday Thoughts and Thanks

On this Thursday day, we would like to think about all our friends - both the ones we met and the ones we didn't - that are no longer with us. We would especially like to think about our sweet friend Astrud, who passed over the Rainbow Bridge 2 weeks ago and about her Mom who is so sad that her beloved tuxedo girl left her so suddenly. We would also like to think about a kitty that we never got to know, but that was found by Mom and a friend last Sunday, but because he was so sick (the vet was not sure if he had ingested poison or if he was sick from an illness, but his kidneys had already shut down and his temperature was way down when Mom found him AND he was very, very, very thin)...we hope that he is now happy and free of pain on the other side of the rainbow bridge.

We are thankful for all our blogging friends for the nice messages they leave us each day; for being wonderful friends and for all the love they give to the beings in their lives. We think that every cat and every dog (and every animal) deserves to be loved...or at the very least to live free and without duress. We are very thankful that we have a warm bed, good food and lots of love. We love you all!!

The Wood's Wednesday

Hi Everyone!! Ellwood (The Wood) here!! I've been going to school these last couple of weeks..can you tell? My writing is much better!! And not only that, I now know some tricks and am learning - key word: LEARNING - how to 'heel'. I have to admit though, that of all the tricks so far, 'heel' is the one trick I really don't like doing so even though I know what Mom wants me to do, I pretend I don't understand her then I just do whatever I want instead. I think soon though I'll have to give in and 'just do it'!! haha!

On a different subject, would you believe that our neighbors have a pet pig? Yep!! I know, most people have cats and/or dogs, but they have a PIG!! A black boy piggy that is about 7 months old and his name is Toni. Mom likes Toni so she scratches him in what seems to be the right places because when she does, Toni just kinda plops down on his side, closes his eyes and just lays there letting Mom scratch and rub him....I think he even groans a little!!

Toni came into our garden yesterday and I was so excited!! He sure smells different than a dog, but I didn't mind, I had fun jumping all over him anyway and I don't think he minded too much...well, at least not for a while...he only tried to nip me a couple of times, but he is really good at doing this kind of head-butt move to push me away - well, he would try, but I'm pretty quick so he wasn't always successful!! He's a riot because he kinda snorts when we play...I don't understand what he is saying, but I think its something like: 'Outta my way ya little yard ape!!'. Not only is Toni fun, he also likes what I like...eating dirt and pushing his nose around in it!! Can you believe that?? I think Toni is really cool!!! Here are some pictures of us having a good time!

Tiny's Tuesday

Lautrec and I have a special place in the house where we can sit and make faces at Ellwood and be in perfect peace knowing that he could NEVER get to us. And best of all, this special place is warm!! You see, here we are looking down at The Wood.

And here I am giving him my dirty look...does he look scared??

Yeah, we are waaaay up here and he is waaay down there...nah, nah, nah, nah, NAH, naaaaah!!!

Oooo, poor puppy can't come up here...heh heh heh!! (BTW, that 'Coco' you see there with the ears and whiskers, well, that is Mom's sort of signature because Dad calls Mom 'Coco' and Mom's real name is Cat so she combined the two and Dad had it made into one of the 'tiles' on our porcelain tiled wood burning stove - it's a European thing so you Americans might not have a clue what it is...sorry!)

OK, would everyone PLAAAALEEEEZ just STOP feeling sorry for The Wood dawg? He is lucky we let him in the same room as us...we could insist that he be back in his prison you know...

Lolo Lundi /Lolo Monday

Mom left her sweater on the couch...I love it when she does that because then I can curl up in it and pretend that I am in Mom's arms.

I love sleeping in Mom's arms....

Serene Sunday

Sundays are good days to just lay around and collect our thoughts.

Of course, for me, every day of the week is Sunday...

For those of you who aren't so lucky, enjoy your one and only Sunday of the week.

Sneaky Saturday

heh heh heh.....

Howd'ya like my paw-work? The Wood sleeps like a log (pun intended!! ooo! I'm so good!!) so he didn't even notice me putting that pipecleaner on his head.

heh heh heh...

Shhh... don't say anything...let's see how long it takes him to figure out that he has purple horns!!

heh heh heh... I am sooooo sneaky!!

Flashback Friday

For 'Flashback Friday' I found a picture of me that was taken exactly a year ago today. Because I am known for being delicate in the cold weather, Mom was trying to figure out how to make me some kind of a sweater. This was her first try. My clever Mom cut off the sleeve of one of her old sweaters then pulled the thing over my head. Great, Mom....I look like a SAUSAGE!!

It didn't get much better after this, I assure you. In fact, it got worse so don't even ask me to show you....that kind of humiliation is bad enough the first time around... I couldn't handle having the whole CB laughing at me the second time!

I DO have my pride you know!!

Why, Mom?

Mom, why do you spend soooo much time with The Wood? I mean 'hey!', Tiny and I are here...don't you love us any more? We miss having you all to ourselves. When is The Wood going to go back to where he came from?

Tiny's Tuesday

And here I am again!!! We've done our weekly migration back to the city which means the rain isn't an issue (it is at the country house because it ruins my outdoor prowlings). Here in our flat, I usually like sitting on the wool blanket on the stool next to the window/radiator, but today, I felt like sleeping in our cuddly bed that Mom put inside of...get this....a chicken basket. Yep, you read that right...Mom bought this basket from an old man at a market...he made it himself and explained that it was made for chickens (a chicken, I suppose). Well, I'm no chicken (in any sense of the word, thank you!), but I do like laying in here. What do you think?

Tiny's Monday and the 2nd Annual Worldwide Moment

Hello! I know, some of you (e.g. AttieCattie) probably came here looking for Lolo's Monday, but I'm stealing Lolo's day because he and the Ellwood have had way too much face time lately and I think I deserve more so I've decided to take over his day and share my Monday thought with you (oh how profound it is!! haha!):

Go away...

Come again...

Another day!

..and speaking of another day, please see the below and spread the word. Don't forget the date and the time...the power of purrs (and woofs and neighs and all the noises us animals make) has a lot of strength..especially when all of us are doing it at once.

(12:00 AM on November 15 for us here in Prague)
